She was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church where she served for many years on the Alter Guild. She was an avid reader and graduated 2nd in her class from Manor High School. There she eventually met and married Joseph Stubits who had moved down from Pennsylvania to work as a chemist at the local paper mill. They were married on November 17, 1951 and had sixty seven wonderful years together until Joseph’s death in 2018.
